Who We Are

The Class Council Association was founded in 2011 by former GMU Student Government Committee Chair Mary Vertucci. The organization is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of the University Life Committeeof GMU Student Government. In creating the organization, 50 different colleges and universities throughout the country who currently have their own Class Council program were contacted and thoroughly researched as to create the best program possible on the Mason Campus. The research was then used to create a Class Council program at Mason that specifically appeals to the needs of George Mason University.

Class Councils is currently run out of the GMU Program Board Office under adviser Michelle Davis. While the ties of the organization originated with and pay respect to GMU Student Government, the programming aspect the officers create distinguishes Class Councils as an area of Student Programming.
